It's the lucky number 7 for Dubai Miracle Garden when it recently received another Guinness Book of World Record for its 7th season's tallest topiary, an 18-foot 35-ton Mickey Mouse (made up of over 100,000 flowers) to celebrate his 90th anniversary. And lucky for me, I got to go with one of my closest friends, Karen, who also happens to love Disney, flowers and plants like I do.

Although, it has a separate entrance and admission fee, the Dubai Butterfly Garden is, in fact, part of Dubai Miracle Garden. It is an indoor 10-dome experience of over 15,000 butterflies of about 26 butterfly species. And because they had to keep a tropical, humid environment for these delicate creatures, I felt like I was back home.
It's best to go at noon time when the butterflies are at their most active state.

I must admit, I was surprised at the price jump from around 25 AED (from two years ago) to 50 AED. You can check my season 5 post here when I went for the first time.
Dubai Miracle Garden truly pulled all the stops this year. It seems to me that they doubled the efforts compared to two (2) years ago, which was already impressive to begin with. This year, you get to enjoy the:
Floral clock featuring a beautiful peacock topiary
More floral castles surrounding dining and sitting areas -- it feels like a fairy tale!
Big Teddy Bear
and, of course, the highlight of the season -- Mickey Mouse and friends!
Also, there are more park services and dining options than ever! I felt a bit guilty taking photos and videos. I knew I just had to stop, be in the moment, and take it all in.
In 2016, I noticed that the signage in one of the entrances was certainly inspired by the font style of Disney. Initially, I thought it wasn't imitated or executed well. I judged too soon; or at least, they made up for it big time. DMG and the Walt Disney Company signed a contract to feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Daffy and Daisy Duck, Huey, Louie and Dewey of Duck Tales, Goofy, and Pluto, which resulted in their 5th Guinness Book of World Records achievement for the tallest topiary -- Mickey Mouse himself!
I was just missing Chip N Dale and Uncle Scrooge McDuck, but I am definitely a happy Disney kid! I hope there's more in the works soon.
Oh, sorry I didn't get a good photo of Mickey. He was so famous and had a long line of friends waiting to get their perfect selfies with him.
Don't forget to check the visitor's info before going so you'll know details on transport, food and beverage, and general park services. And, let me know your thoughts in the comments! Thanks.
